Many Rhondda groups wanting to raise funds to support their operations again sold raffle tickets this year for the Rhondda Rotary Annual Community Raffle, the draw for which was held on 27th November.
The cost of the raffle and prizes is met by Rhondda Rotary, all proceeds from the sale of tickets are retained by the groups and there are no costs deducted for administration/prizes.
Over 16000 tickets were sold with the winning tickets sold by the following organisations:
1st prize £500 – ticket no. 19309, sold by Pendyrus Choir
2nd prize £200 – ticket no. 13063, sold by Rhondda & Pontypridd Basketball
3rd prize £100 – ticket no. 18690, sold by Porth RFC juniors
The individual winners have been informed and their prizes will be delivered in the coming week. This year, 45 groups from the Rhondda benefited to the tune of over £16,000 from the monies from the ticket sales, which is an improvement over previous years.
So a big well done to all the groups, large and small and to the individual ticket sellers for the efforts they put in to benefit their group.
