Rhondda Rotary held its Big Quiz at the ‘Baden’, Ynyshir on Wednesday 13th November. The prize was keenly contested by 11 teams from the Baden, the Colliers’ Arms, Porth, Trebanog Workingmens’ Club, the Imps, Ferndale and Pentre WI.
A difficult quiz of 60 general knowledge questions, plus music and picture rounds, set by Quizmaster Rotarian Tony Gruba, really tested the teams, with the eventual winners being:
Winners – The Colliers’ Arms Team 2
Second – The Colliers’ Arms Team 1
Third – Trebanog Workingmens’ Club – Team 2
The winner will keep the Tom Davies Memorial Trophy for the next year.
There was a raffle, with prizes provided by ‘Fannies Functions’
A good night was had by all, with the £200 raised going toward supporting local individuals and groups in the Rhondda community.
