The 2025 District Final of the Rotary Young Musician was held at All Saints Church, Porthcawl on Saturday 15th February. All those attending were treated to instrumental and vocal performances of the highest standard. In the vocalist competition, Vivienne Evans-Lees, sponsored by Rhondda Rotary and accompanied by Stewart Roberts, gave her usual polished performance, but regrettably finished a close runner up to Isobel McMeecham, an excellent soprano, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cowbridge. Congratulations to Vivienne on her achievement. The winner of the instrumentalist competition was Bailey Buckley, an excellent violinist, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cardiff West.’
